Homes, condos & acreages

RMHI Residential

Thorough home inspections following the Home Inspection Standards of Practice in Canmore, Banff and Calgary.

We inspect a wide range of homes: single-family homes, townhomes, apartment condominiums, acreages and vacation properties. Each property type has its own considerations, so the inspection is tailored to the home and its systems.

Home inspections usually take 2 to 4 hours, depending on the property's size, age and condition. Every accessible area is checked carefully to give you a complete picture of the home's condition, so you can feel confident in your decisions.

Your inspection, start to finish

01

Join the walkthrough

Clients are encouraged to arrive near the end of the inspection to walk through the property with Kyle. It is a good opportunity to learn about the home's systems, ask questions, understand any findings first-hand and pick up basic maintenance tips.

02

Thermal imaging included

Thermal imaging is part of every inspection, not an add-on. The infrared camera helps find insulation gaps, air leakage and hidden moisture that the eye alone can't see.

A detailed digital report

Within 24 hours you receive a digital report with photographs, videos and descriptions of the findings, with recommendations for addressing them. Material defects that could affect safety, livability or value are highlighted in the summary section, so serious issues are easy to spot.

04

Home maintenance book included

With every full home inspection we include a home maintenance book. It explains how a home works, how to maintain it and how to save energy, with seasonal maintenance checklists.

05

Areas that can't be accessed

We inspect all safely accessible areas on the day of the inspection. If something is blocked, locked or not operating, it is noted clearly in the report, with any limitations explained, so you know exactly what was and wasn't visible.
