WETT Inspection

Make sure your wood-burning system is safe with a WETT inspection. Fireplaces, wood stoves and chimneys are assessed for proper installation, clearances and condition, which insurers often ask about when you buy or renew.

01

What a WETT inspection covers

Kyle looks at the appliance, its clearances to combustible materials, floor and wall protection, the flue or chimney, and how the system is installed. The findings are within the scope of a SITE Basic inspection under WETT training.

02

Common in mountain homes

Wood stoves and wood-burning fireplaces are a feature of many Bow Valley homes, cabins and chalets. A WETT inspection is often requested by insurance companies when a property changes hands.

03

Kyle's WETT certification

Kyle has been a WETT-certified SITE Basic Inspector since 2021. WETT certifies individuals rather than companies, and the certification is held by Kyle.
